Summit Upstream came together because we want to do it better ... and yet again better.

Summit’s forerunner, Mustang Associates, was formed in 1989 to supply operational drilling support to a major North Sea Operator, Amoco, and provided turnkey staff, office, and technical support for IADC’s North Sea Chapter. The list of accomplishments of the North Sea Chapter during this time is a long and illustrious one.

Mustang Associates needed another vehicle to take on larger projects and Summit Upstream was formed. Summit Upstream is a hands-on company. We want to be involved in every step of bringing the well from concept to completion.

We want to make a difference. Efficiency is a laudable goal and we strive for that. However, when the cost-benefit ratio dwindles, Summit seeks another way ... we search out innovative solutions. Innovation keeps Summit and its clients ahead of the competition.

Innovation is lost unless it is captured. Our Knowledge Management Capture Process makes sure the innovations are available for the next project.

Summit has two Principals and one Associate. All have extensive, complementary experience working for majors, medium, and small companies across many of the world’s primary producing basins.
